Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. Hardback. Dust Jacket. 8vo. pp 60. Poetry. With odd pencilled quote beneath authors' name on title page, reading: "the great female dandy of the 20th century." Little can be found about Dumeresq except he published some other poems ('Wolves') at Kenion Press in 1954 and some poems under another pseudonym in 1948. His real name was David Newall and he published "The Healing Green" in 1957 in Luton under this name. He was a friend of Lucien Rebatet -they met each other in Dordogne in 1952. These poems are highly competent and in a death obsessed metaphysical slightly apocalyptic style. Original publisher's blue cloth lettered gilt at the spine Vg+ in slight chipped and used near vg jacket.
