Jean-Baptiste Luton Durival, né le 4 juillet 1725 à Saint-Aubin-sur-Aire et mort le 14 février 1810 à Heillecourt, est un historien français. Frère cadet de Nicolas Luton Durival, Jean-Baptiste fut, après son frère, secrétaire des conseils d?Etat et des finances de Stanislas, duc de Lorraine. En 1766, il devint premier secrétaire des Affaires étrangères, sous le ministère du duc de Choiseul. En 1777, il fut envoyé en Hollande, en qualité de ministre de France. Il a fourni des articles à l?Encyclopédie sur l?Art militaire, et a laissé quelques opuscules inédits. Il a été membre de l?Académie de Stanislas. Très bel exemplaire. Vente Levrun 837, Noël 4067.
