The end-papers show several penciled notes and one previous owner's name and the front paste-down shows a small store-sticker from Weinstock-Lubin and Company.BLANK ENDPAPERS SMALL STICKER, HBDJ, UNDATED But 1890, This 5.375 x 7.5 inch APPROX , VG/VG, BURGUNDY CLOTH WITH GOLD GILT ON SPINE CVR, LITE RUB & WEAR & TINY DJ TEARS, 369 page hardcover book with dust wrapper is a Reprint of this famous 1922 title by A. L. Burt about 1890 - 1900. This book is in FINE- condition - - in a very good dust wrapper as issued. There is virtually no wear showing to the maroon-cloth covers with gilt lettering on the spine - - with the gilt -as new- and with the top edges also gilt. The binding and corners are square with again no damage or time-wear showing. The text block is again fine with no markings or damage showing and only the end-papers front and back showing some touch of offset to the gluing of the endpapers. The book shows 369 text pages and then four additional un-numbered pages listing Burt's Home Library titles - - price $1.25. The dust wrapper does show real time-wear - - with wear at the folds, several chips missing at the spine extremities, one half-inch closed tear to the bottom edge, and a sun-faded spine - - but all in all the jacket is solid and now protected by a mylar cover. 369 pages.
