Trade PB (B&W photographs, map, facsimile) She did it in "a barrel built to her own specifications" on October 24, 1901, then spent the rest of her life (she died in 1921) trying "to publicize her feat by giving speeches at public gatherings and writing articles for the press but with very little success"; in the end she "died a pauper in the Niagara County Home, broken in spirit from not having achieved the notoriety she longed for and did indeed deserve." The book includes a facsimile reproduction (13 pages) of the booklet "Over the Falls," which she self-published in 1902.
