Deming (1860-1942) was an American painter who specialized in depictions of Native American scenes. This booklet includes a biographical sketch; the text of letters to Deming from Frederic Remington, Francis La Flesche, Theodore Roosevelt, and others; and excerpts from press notices about Deming and his work.

A Daughter of the Sioux, A Tale of the Indian Frontier, red cloth with pictorial paste-down on the front cover of a Sioux Woman, 8 Illustrations by Remington and Deming. , Frederic Remington being one of the most well-known American West artists. 306 pages, minor bump to corners with barely noticeable small rub spot to lower left front cover corner. Spine a bit faded otherwise all else is bright. Old label pasted inside front end-paper over a former owners signature, stating "This Book is not to be taken from the Sarah A .Todd Memorial Home". Published March 1903.
