Las películas eran adecuadas para su aplicación intra-bolsa, ya que eran lo suficientemente duras como para insertarse fácilmente en la bolsa periodontal. Inmediatamente después de la aplicación, se hidratan por la acción del líquido crevicular gingival, formando un gel bioadhesivo que permite que la formulación llegue a toda la bolsa. Las películas mostraron un patrón de liberación sostenida. El estudio de estabilidad de la fórmula seleccionada (Tc HCl/Na CMC) indicó que el periodo de almacenamiento de cinco meses no influyó significativamente en el comportamiento de liberación del fármaco ni en su actividad antibacteriana. Les films étaient adaptés à une application intra-poche, ils étaient suffisamment durs pour être facilement insérés dans la poche parodontale. Immédiatement après l'application, ils s'hydratent sous l'action du liquide gingivo-creviculaire, formant un gel bioadhésif qui permet à la formulation d'atteindre l'ensemble de la poche. Les films ont présenté un profil de libération prolongée. L'étude de stabilité de la formulation sélectionnée (Tc HCl/Na CMC) a indiqué que la période de stockage de cinq mois n'avait pas d'influence significative sur le comportement de libération du médicament ou son activité antibactérienne.
