On April 8th 1964, was discovered in one of the casemates of the eastern wall of Masada, Scroll fragments containing chapters 39, 27-43, 30 of the "Wisdom of Ben Sira" (Ecclesiasticus) in the original Hebrew version. This work makes available, for the first time, all the fragments of the Scroll that have been discovered. The chief aim of this preliminary survey is to place as quickly as possible before scholars concerned the full version, accompanied by photographs, and a preliminary deciphering as well as the annotations Yigael Yadin was able to formulate. Some age wear on binding with age-toning on covers and rubbing on corners and along edges. Pen mark on back cover. Text in Hebrew and English. Binding in overall good-, interior in very good condition.
