This book was published in conjunction with an exhibition that ran November 23, 2014 through January 25, 2015 at the The Art Institute of Chicago and also from June 10 through September 7, 2014 at the The J. Paul Getty Museum (which had previously acquired Ensor's "Christ's Entry Into Brussels in 1889"). Original publisher's orange paper covered boards with black spine and cover lettering. This is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings, no previous owner names and no bookplates. The unusual dust jacket covers only the lower half of the book (as issued) and is also in nice condition with no creases, tears, chips or markings. Just touches of wear to extremities, small smudge on rear wrapper, corners square and flat, else near fine to fine with no internal markings. This is a novella set in a prairie farm town of the 1930s and 1940s, probably Ridge Farm, Illinois in Vermillion County, where Phil Stuart Ensor (1931-2018) grew up. This is apparently the only book the author wrote. Some chapter titles include the following: A Railroad Man, Grader v. Rx, Paling Around with Zack Gregory, Fishing the South Fork, Prairie View Township High School, The Church of Saved Souls, and The Church of Green Pastures. Inscribed by Author(s).
