Es folgten diverse Studienreisen, Ausstellungsbeteiligungen in Kunstvereinen sowie Aufträge für Kinderbuch-Illustrationen. 1903-08 Lehrer für Zeichnen, Malen und Modellieren an der freien Zeichenschule im Volkshaus Jena. Mitglied der Ortsgruppe des Bundes für Heimatschutz. Schuf Gemälde, Zeichnungen, Illustrationen, Möbel, Kleider, Exlibris, Porzellan-Service und Freskomalereien. Zählte zum Freundeskreis um den Verleger Eugen Diederichs. 1910 Italienreise. 1911-16 Lehrer an der Königliche Kunstschule in Berlin. Nicht handsigniert. Im Stein links unten Monogramm: EK.
