"Eigentum der NSDAP" ("Property of the National Socialist German Workers Party") stamped on the cover as well as printed on the copyright page in place of a copyright notice; the book was produced upon the request of the Ministry of Propaganda. Noted as "Band 1 der Schriftenreihe der Reichspropagandaleitung der NSDAP" - i.e., the first publication in a series from the highest levels of the Nazi party. This astonishingly thorough and measured study includes material on American, British, French and Russian political posters, as well as reproducing many of the posters associated with Hitler's rise. On front endpaper: "Abducted by Cpl Vern Simon July 6th, 1945".
