In der Konsequenz geraten konventionelle Linienmontagen an die…Grenzen ihrer Wirtschaftlichkeit. Die Auflösung der Verkettung und Taktabhängigkeit von Montagestationen in Matrixmontagen bietet das Potenzial zur gleichzeitigen Verbesserung von Flexibilität und Effizienz bei Erhaltung des Flussprinzips. Matrix- und Linienmontagen bilden die flussorientierten Montagestrukturen, in denen sich Montageobjekte gemäß des Flussprinzips bewegen. Während der Strukturplanung stehen Montageplanende zunehmend vor der Fragestellung, welche Konfiguration flussorientierter Montagestrukturen die Anforderungen ihres Anwendungsfalls erfüllt und wie Flexibilität objektiv als ein Entscheidungskriterium einfließt.Zur Adressierung der genannten Herausforderungen wird in dieser Arbeit eine Strukturplanungsmethodik zur effizienten und datenbasierten Bestimmung flexibler, flussorientierter Montagestrukturen mittels einer Klassifikation entwickelt. Ein definiertes, redundanzfreies Set aus Flexibilitätskriterien ermöglicht es, die Flexibilitätsbedarfe eines Anwendungsfalls durch die gezielte Auswertung von Produktionsprogramm- und Prozesszeitdaten quantitativ zu spezifizieren. Eine Level-basierte Klassifikation fasst die Konfigurationen flussorientierter Montagestrukturen zusammen und schlüsselt die Wirkbeziehungen der darin kombinierten Strukturelemente auf. Auf diese Weise entfallen die Aufwände zur Strukturierung des Lösungsraums der Strukturplanung und die Planungskomplexität wird effizient beherrschbar. Weiterhin erfolgt die Priorisierung der Strukturkonfigurationen anhand eines systematischen Abgleichs des ermittelten Flexibilitätsbedarfs und des -angebots von Konfigurationen zur Entscheidungsunterstützung. Dadurch wird sichergestellt, dass die Strukturkonfigurationen eine die Anforderungen erfüllende Flexibilität bieten und die Ergebnisqualität der Strukturplanung gewährleistet ist. Die Operationalisierung in einer Methodik und ihre Integration in ein ganzheitliches Montageplanungsvorgehen machen die gesammelten Erkenntnisse Montageplanenden kompakt zugänglich. Insgesamt befähigt die Methodik zur effizienten und transparenten Bestimmung der Montagestrukturen gemäß den spezifischen Anforderungen eines Anwendungsfalls an Flexibilität.
