Includes responses to Hemingway's For Whom the Bell Tolls by Lionel Trilling and Dwight Macdonald, a poem by David Gascoyne, letters from Jackson Mac Low and Elliott Carter, other indicators of the ferment of the era. Unmarked copy, wrappers have typical toning. Not Signed.

Hand numbered 82 of 500 copies made, xv + 61pp on stiff paper, portrait frontispiece, with printed tissue guard, 2 colour and 5 monochrome plates on thick stiff art paper. Posthumously published monograph on the artist perhaps best known for his work producing influential posters for the London Underground (it was Jackson who persuaded Frank Pick to commission artists rather than graphic designers to produce their poster artwork) .
