Complete with twenty four views of Cornwall. Some light foxing throughout mainly to edges. Fabulous engravings.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dust Jacket. 24 engraved plates (rare proof impressions), each with separate page of letterpress and original tissue guards. List of plates and front and rear blanks present, fore and lower edges mostly uncut. Original printed card wrappers bound in (seemingly a decorative front wrapper specially printed for proof copies); modern but tasteful cloth binding. Plates very good, a few with some dust soiling to edges and with corners a little worn, but not nearly affecting image, a couple with foxing spots, but not disfiguring; some tissue guards creased and a couple torn. Front wrapper and front blank with some wear to edges, the former with some older paper repairs to edges of the verso. Overall a very good copy. Very rare in this proof state. Size: Folio - Landscape (32 x 45cm). Book.

Half-Leather. Condition: Very Good. Farington, J. (illustrator). Recently rebound in half brown Morocco over brown marbled boards. 5 raised bands and gilt titles to ed leather label on spine. New endpapers. Landscape folio. List of plates. 31 engravings of Derbyshire each with tissue guard and descriptive page. Title page and list of plates creased and tanned. some wear to page corners and slight occasional foxing to edges not affecting the engravings. Otherwise a tight lean copy in a handsome binding. Scarce.
