To a friend, presumably the painter Édouard Dantan (1848-97), about receiving a painting he had recommended: "Le Tableau que vous m'avez recommandé a été reçu et suis heureux de vous annoncer ce resultat [.]". - With an autograph letter signed by "Guillaumet" on the verso, presumably the paint…er Gustave Achille Guillaumet (1840-87), written to Henriette, the artist of the aforementioned painting, mentioning Pelez' letter and congratulating her on the sale: "Ci contre la lettre de Pelez auquel Edouard avait recommandé ton tableau. Comme tu vois qu'on s'est occupé de toi. Je suis heureux pour toi du resultat [.]". - Somewhat creased; small marginal flaws; pierced in the centre.
