The first volume of the diaries and letters of Dr John Kirk, who accompanied the British Government Expedition to the Zambesi of 1858-63 which was led by David Livingstone, Kirk serving as medical officer and botanist. This first volume covers the period from March 1858 to December 1860. 317pp, 10 b&w illustrations. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
