Cover cloth lightly rubbed with bruised corners. First and final leaves slightly toned, with presentation inscription to verso title page dated 1932 ( the year after publication). Three or four small unobtrusive library stamps to prelims only; a clean tight copy in Very Good condition. Aimed at "anyone interested in the problem of the application of combustion engines on railways" in a push to increase efficiency in transport in terms of energy and costs, with the possibility of longer journeys and simpler re-fuelling. Scarce.
