The contract is initialled and signed by Robert Hale, as managing director. The contract goes through differing royalty arrangements for various editions of the book ('The British Library Edition' Standard Edition, Book Society Editions, Export Editions, Cheap Editions, Remainders]. Fraser-Simson was paid an advance of £50 for the book. BOOK: Blue cloth boards a little faded to extremities, corners bumped, bookplate to ffep, bite to bottom of title page. DJ: Unclipped jacket with 9/6d to inner flap, a little worn and faded to extremities, some loss to head of spine and a spot of loss to middle of spine with 'F' of Fraser missing.
