It is an exploration of the events surrounding the real-life Joan of Arc, who was believed by many to have been sent by God to lead the French to victory. The play examines the political and social context of Joanâs life, providing a rich tapestry of the period, while remaining faithful to the historical record of her story. The author explores ideas of divine intervention and the limits of human power, particularly in the context of the political and religious turmoil of 15th century France. Ultimately, this is a story that sheds light on the power of one individual to inspire and lead a nation in their darkest hour, while also serving as a reminder that even the most remarkable stories have the potential to end in tragedy. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.

Couverture rigide. Condition: Bon. Saint Jean Chrysostome ; Fronton du duc, S. Ioannis Chrysostomi archiepiscopi Constantinopolitani Panegyrici Tractatus XVII sanctis Apostolis, Martyribus, & Patriarchis dicti. Bordeaux, Simon Millanges, 1601. Rare ouvrage, bon exemplaire.
