"Rest on the Run," original gouache/tempera on thin cardboard, 23x39cm; signed lower left "PAUL HEY," circa 1907; verso, a portrait sketch of a young girl, and below, erroneously titled in ink, probably by the previous owner, "Evening Rest before Dachau." Instead, this is a variant of the motif "Rest on the Run," dated 1907, which was also published as a lithograph. Unfortunately, I don't know whether this version also made it onto the art market as a lithograph, and I have never seen a lithograph of the variant offered here.
