Red cloth covered hard boards with gilt lettering and crown decoration to spine and upper board. Thirty-nine colour lithographic maps, including Map of the World on Mercator''s Projection; Map of Hong Kong and Leased Territory; Malaya 1928 and Queensland showing the several Railway Systems. First published in 1861, this annual directory provided a wealth of information on Britain's far-flung Empire. A little spotting in the margins, not affecting the maps, binding slightly tender, boards clean and bright but spine dust dulled, maps excellent condition other than a few with short tears, no loss. Overall in Very Good condition.
