Hardcover. Condition: As New. Dust Jacket Condition: As New. 1st Edition. Three works by Hashiguchi, including Seventeen, portaits of seventeen-year-olds throughout Japan, Father, portraits of Japanese fathers, and Couple, portaits of couples (male - female, make - male, etc.) throughout Japan. Revision and reworking of previous titles in a beautiful hardcover version. The photographs, which were taken in the 1980s, may be even more interesting now, in light of the passage of time. Descriptions mostly in Japanese, but with some English. Each work is interesting in its own right. The work Father, for example, includes a portrait of (at the time) young comedian Shinsuke Shimada, who ultimately became a top television personality in Japan, but who suddenly retired from show business in August 2011 due to a scandal. CONDITION: Each book is in new, unread condition, with the original dust cover and obi, and each has additionally been signed by photographer Hashiguchi. Signed by Author.
