Mit 101 Abbildungen im Text (fast alles Abbildungen von Maschinen zur Herstellung von Briefumschlägen). - Themen u.a.: Geschichte der Briefumschlag-Erzeugung; die heutige Fabrikation (Klebstoffe, Stanzen und Drucken, Briefumschlagmaschinen), Papier. - Enthält auf Seite 105 ein Nachwort "An die jüngeren Kollegen". - Der Inserentenanhang enthält u.a. ein farbiges Seidenpapiermuster im Golddruck. - Provenienz: Hans Opitz u. Co., Hannover (montierte Marke im Prägedruck auf dem vorderen fliegenden Vorsatzblatt; Firmenstempel und Signatur auf dem Titelblatt). Die Firma handelte en gros mit Waren und Maschinen für das Druckgewerbe. - Gutes Exemplar auf gutem Papier.
