Signed by the second author, Wilfred Mark Webb. Edited and with an Introduction by Wilfred Mark Webb. Edition limited to 250 numbered copies, printed on hand-made Italian paper with wide margins, signed by the editor. This volume No. 89.This facsimile, reproduced for the first time Gilbert White's hand written records for 1766 and includes botanical observations made chiefly at Selborne, with occasional notes on birds and insects. This record was in the possession of Wilfred Webb, (General Secretary of the Selborne Society for 25 years), and should not to be confused with the so-called "Naturalist's Calendar," often printed at the end of White's "Natural History of Selborne." A review of this 'beautiful facsimile' published in Nature 29 February 1912, stated 'The printing, paper, and binding of this large volume are all admirable, and the brief introduction is adequate; it is a superb volume to lie on a drawing-room table and be admired by the chance visitor, who will, it may be hoped, at least be struck by the strong, firm, and legible handwriting of the famous naturalist.'.
