Features Rudolf Alexander Schroder on the Cranach-Presse, with a four-page specimen of "Hamlet" printed at the Cranach-Press, folded twice, with two woodcuts and ornaments by Edward Gordon Craig; and a mounted four-page specimen of "Das Hohe Lied", with an original wood engraving by Eric Gill (opposite page 104), printed at the Cranach-Presse in red and black on Japanese paper. A 49 page article on modern English presses by Anna Simons features five mounted specimens, including a four-page "Specimen Pages of Two Type-faces Cut for the Ashendene Press", printed at Ashendene, and a four-page specimen from "Froissarts Cronycles", printed at the Shakespeare Head Press; as well as numerous other excellent illustrations, some being mounted, folded or bound in.
