In 8, pp. 15 + (1b) con 1 tav. f.t. inc. all'acq. Sporadiche fioriture alle carte. Br. muta coeva. Studio di questo matematico che insegno' alla Sapienza di Roma. Nacque a Roma nel 1759. Nel 1805 ando' a Parigi a studiare veterinaria. Tornato in Italia, insegno' la materia a Roma. Tuttavia 'poco inclinato a tali dottrine, invece sperimentando piu' forte la primitiva tendenza verso le matematiche, lascio' la cattedra di veterinaria a Metaxa' e nuovamente si fece maestro delle scienze esatte. Ma invece delle matematiche elementari prese a insegnar meccanica e idraulica. Dopo qualche anno istituita la cattedra di calcolo sublime, il prof. Oddi fu il primo ad occuparla.'
