Der Autor Mayer war Mathematiker und Physiker, lehrte zunächst Altdorf und Erlangen, erhielt dann eine Professur in Göttingen. Aus dem Inhalt: Eintheilung der Charten. Geographische Netze. Verzeichniß der Längen und Breiten mehrerer Oerter auf der Erde. Bestimmung des Abstandes der Oerter auf der Erde. Werkzeuge zum Ziehen gerader Linien. Ein Netz nach der Entwerfungsart des Hrn. Bonne. Ein Netz nach Mercators Art zu entwerfen. Perspectivische Projectionen der Erdfläche. Netze zu Kugeln etc. " - Einband berieben, oberes Kapital mit kleiner Reparatur, sonst wenig gebräunt, innen meist sauber, komplett mit allen 7 Tafeln.
