Postkartenformat (postalisch nicht verwendet). Sehr gut erhalten. Dux debütierte 1905 in Köln und sang 1911-18 an der Königlichen Oper in Berlin. Nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg arbeitete sie u.a. in Stockholm, bevor sie 1921 in USA ging und bis 1926 Civic Opera Company in Chicago engagiert war. Danach zog sie sich ins Privatleben zurück. Sie war in zweiter Ehe mit Hans Albers verheiratet, später mit einem amerikanischen Fleischfabrikanten. Salvador Dali hat sie in seinem Bild "Melancholie - Portrait der Sängerin Claire Dux" verewigt. Die Photographin (Lebensdaten unbekannt, geboren in Finnland) war selbst Theaterschauspielerin und am Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts eine bedeutende Vertreterin der Pictoralisten. Sie war die Mutter des dänischen Kameramanns und Filmregisseurs George Schneevoigt (1893-1961), der mit ihr 1907 nach Berlin kam, wo er ebenfalls Schauspielunterricht erhielt.
