Condition: Fair. - Quarto [10-5/8 inches high by 8-3/4 inches wide], decorative boards in cream, black & gray. The binding is lightly bumped & rubbed. The boards are darkened around the edges with soiling to the rear board. The spine is darkened with the head & tail chipped. Unnumbered pages, including a colophon, with a letter from the editors and an order form laid in. Black-and-white illustrations, including 4 plates & 12 full-page illustrations. The edges of some text pages are darkened. The rear joint is split and the spine is partially detached. The contents are very good. Featured in this issue is a plate depicting a previously unpublished drawing by Rockwell Kent of a barefoot dancing woman in a woodland setting, holding out the long strands of her hair. Among the articles are "Mr. Poe at his Conjurations Again" by Carl F. Schreiber, "The Line-Engravings of Stephen Gooden" by James Laver [with illustrations], and "Robert Frost and His Books" by Frederic Melcher, with a portrait. Two facsimile letters are tipped-in illustrating "Another Day" by Henry W. Kent.

An amazing grouping of artists! This book is in very nice condition. You can see the covers in the photos. There are several amber spots on the front and rear. There is a very light crease off the bottom corner of the front. There is a little indent off the top edge of the front. The stapled binding is very solid. The pages are nicely tight from cover to cover. The covers are nicely tight as well. The pages are exceptionally clean. Scrolling through, I didn't see any soiling. The front inside cover has a few amber spots, as does the rear side of the last page. The pages are in very good shape. The little indent from the cover carries forward on some early ones, very minor. There's also a very small thin crease just off the outer edge of the pages, not reaching the print, also quite minor. There aren't any sharp creases, no placeholder creases. There are no markings. No attachments of any kind. And no one has written their name or anything else anywhere.
