As with most (if not all) copies, the book's price on the preliminary ad lea was raised by hand. A few known copies have ads dated Sept. 1892; however, since the book wasn't published until early April 1893, we regard the March 1893 ads in this copy as "primary." The is an unusually bright copy, without the external wear or soil - near fine (with slightly cracked endpapers with marginal damage on some leaves due to careless opening). Beinecke 577.
