Trade Paperback. Condition: Good. First Edition. A Good, internally clean, solid paperback copy with some soiling to the covers. Some photo illus. Musser was a chaplain to the Military Railway Service. This 134 page book has many accounts of the author's experiences in North Africa, Italy and France but no account of combat. It also has some semi-philosophical passages and somewhat fictionalized accounts of "G.I. Joe". There is very little about railroading. Musser was a Roanoke, Virginia author and Methodist minister. The book is marred by the Reverend's very pronounced period Virginia racism that I hope he grew out of during his later service as a minister in Virginia and West Virginia. Rare.
