Green's special interest - Alexander, the Hellenistic Age, Ovid, and Juvenal - are all well represented, as well as other subjects, like the Victorian approaches to the classics, the Egypt of Tutankhamun and the Delphic oracle, archaic notions of death, Aristophanes' play 'The Clouds' as lethal social satire, and attitudes to sex in Greek and Roman literature. All models of how we can `translate' the Classical world into the contemporary world."
