Green is most well known for his works on the Greco-Persian Wars, Alexander the Great and the Hellenistic Age of ancient history, and his influential historical biography', 'Alexander of Macedon'. Beyond his influential historical novels, Green has also contributed works of poetry to many different journals, such as the 'Southern Humanities Review' and 'Arion'.
