The blank page edges are very discoloured, the staples are rusted and with some staining here and there and across the front and back covers. Internally clean and tight with No Inscriptions or other Marks. "The Aeroplane" ran from 8 June 1911 (No.1) till 17 April 1959 (No.2485). An early, and slimmer First World War issue of this fascinating magazine - the front cover has a caption - "The Younger Generation" and an aerial image of the Camp of the Victorian Contingent of the Australian Expeditionary Force on the Werribee Plain". This issue runs from pages 513- 532. The articles are interspersed with only a few b/w Aeroplane related adverts this time, and the Contents of this issue are mainly in some form War related articles = ' The New (s=Paper) War' ; 'Comforts for the R.
