Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Rectangular chip to top of spine, left side detached. Split to front gutter, but binding still intact, no loose pages. Some soiling and tanning to boards. Marking from 1857 on reverse of front board. Light water damage visible to reverse of both boards/endpapers at top.

Slightly faded spine with wear to ends and bumped corners. A few spots to prelims, some unopened pages. A clean copy. Ink ownership inscription dating back to 1855 to ffep. Includes the contemporary manuscript 'Questions' in a marbled paper covers which lists questions and answers in response to part 2 of Butler's Analogy. Small 8vo.

Vol I divided into 2 parts: Natural Religion and Revealed Religion (Christianity), followed by a Conclusion and 2 Dissertations; "Of Personal Identity" and "Of the Nature of Virtue". 446 Pages.
