Covers are worn through at edges and corners, though corners remain reasonably square. Covers shelf worn. Spine worn, no lettering, if ever there, is visible. All plates present and Fine, including two color plates of Arctic Auk birds, with tissue guards. Internally, previous gift inscription dated 1884 (although the book was published in 1889) on first blank, some toning to pages edges, otherwise nice and clean throughout. A good, solid and clean copy. All of our books are individually inspected and described. Never ex-lib unless explicitly described as such.
