Gutes Exemplar. 19x24,5 cm * Die im Kern barocke Krippe hat ihren Namen vom ersten bekannten Besitzer, Franz Josef Kramer (1813 bis 1873), genannt Herrenkramer. Zur Herkunft der Krippe können nur Vermut…ungen angestellt werden, anhand von dargestellten Rottweiler Bauten kann das Entstehungsdatum der Krippe auf 1760 angesetzt werden. Seit 1865 wurde die Krippe in den folgenden Gebäuden "lebig gemacht": Badgasse 3, Hauptstraße 58, Flöttlinstorstraße 18 und Hauptstraße 20. Der Herrenkramer wohnte zunächst in der Badgasse 3, nach 1865 zog er mit seiner Krippe in die Hauptstraße 58 um, nach seinem Tod 1873 bleib die Krippe in der Unteren Hauptstraße weiter für die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich. Im Jahr 1895 wurde die Krippe erstmals restauriert. Nach dem zweiten Weltkrieg wurde die Krippe von ihrem damaligen Besitzer, Joseph Bayer, der nach Amerika ausgewandert ist, in die Flöttlinstorstraße 20 verlegt, dort wurde sie von Miriam und Paul Hetzinger und ihrem Sohn bis ins Jahr 1970 betreut. 1983 erwarb das Land Baden-Württemberg die Krippe, zuvor wurde sie 15 Jahre lang nicht mehr lebig gemacht und zeitweise waren sogar Figuren der Krippe entwendet.
