Pages and binding are presentable with common faults. Text is legible throughout. Some issues present such as cracking, inscriptions, inserts, moderate foxing, tanning and thumb marking. Binding remains firm. Boards have noticeable shelf wear with rubbing and corner bumping. Moderate tanning and marking. Areas of heavy sunning. A few liquid droplet marks. Boards are notably bowed. Book has a slight forward lean.

Bumped corners. Book has slight forward tilt. Slackness to binding, a little cracking to rear inner hinge, some strain to textblock but book contents reasonably firm. Page edges browned, scuffed, foxed and marked. Gift inscription to front free endpaper. Some foxing and marking to page surfaces but otherwise clean, no underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information. 223 pp. n.
