Beige half cloth over red paper covered boards, paper label with titles printed in black on the spine. "755 copies were printed under the supervision of Bruce Rogers at the Harvard University Press, Cambridge Massachusetts, in June 1924." Covers lightly stained, corners worn through, faint foxing and age toning to leaves, some uncut. Laid in invitation to the International Conference Honoring the 400th Anniversary of Drake's Sojourn in California, Friday June 15, 1979 at the California Academy of Sciences and the Asian Art Museum in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. Pamphlet written by one of the "sworne Esquires of Queen Elizabeth" on the occasion of Drake's expedition to the West Indies in 1585. Original typography was reproduced as closely as modern types permitted.
