The original edition of this doctoral thesis for the Faculty of Letters at the University of Paris which was republished as "Un sataniste polonais: Stanislas Przybyszewski (de 1868 a 1900)". Stanislas Przybyszewski [1868-1927] was a Polish author, playwright and poet often associated with the Symbolist movement. Following a checkered school career, he lived in Berlin where he studied first architecture and then medicine. He was fascinated by Nietzsche's philososphy and by Satanism and plunged into the bohemian life of the city. He became the celebrated leader of the modernist school of the Belle Epoque, director of the literary magazine Zycie and a specialist in the music of Chopin, on which he often lectured. The text is in French.
