L'écriture collective, en effet, n'est pas seulement la production/reproduction de contenus textuels à destination d'un groupe défini : c'est d'abord un art visuel et manuel, qui repose sur l'apprentissage et la réplication d'un répertoire formel de lettres, d'images, de mises en pages, à la fois traditionnel et soumis à une constante réélaboration. Après les scriptoria, des milieux plus larges, comme les communautés universitaires, créeront d'autres procédures, d'autres modes d'échange et d'autres formes pour d'autres types de produits on connaît surtout le système des textes de référence loués " à la pièce " pour servir à la copie simultanée d'exemplaires multiples. Mais des communautés plus discrètes trouveront aussi le moyen de multiplier des textes moins autorisés. L'enquête codicologique, paléographique et philologique révèle les interventions concurrentes ou successives sur un même texte, de la composition conjointe par deux ou plusieurs " auteurs " à l'adaptation de textes existants, glose, traduction, remaniement : autant de perspectives sur les méthodes changeantes du travail intellectuel. Matériellement, les cas où le même homme peut être auteur, copiste et enlumineur (sans compter la préparation du parchemin ou de l'encre) sont toujours plus rares : la multiplicité des compétences nécessaires suppose le concours, en succession organisée, d'un nombre croissant de personnes. De même, les chancelleries, en s'étoffant, passent de la collaboration informelle avec les clercs d'une église voisine, voire avec le destinataire lui-même, à une production assurée par leur propre personnel, selon une organisation structurée qui laisse sur le parchemin des traces conventionnelles, souvent discrètes et sibyllines. Ces évolutions iront jusqu'à une minutieuse spécialisation, celle qu'on peut observer à la fin du Moyen Age dans les ateliers commerciaux de librairie, dont les procédures rationalisées seront en partie héritées par les premiers typographes. Among the latin manuscripts that became, in the middle of the last century,incorporated into the National Library of Poland, there is a group of eleven parchment manuscripts from the 12th to the 14th century which, though coming from the library of Eastern Catholic Cathedral of Przemsl, are not of Polish origin, It can be proved that nine of them belonged to the Cistercian monastery of Rein near Graz, while or another one's prpvenance Alt-St.-Paul i. L. can be suspected. As binding material are preserved in these books leaves from an early carolingian codex of Bavarian origin as well as fragments of ana Italian copy of the rarely handed down Ars Laureshamensis done in the early 11th century. The exploration of these manuscripts provided an opportunity to glance breifly at the foundation of the Przemysl Cathedral Library , and at the same time the study of the scribes encouraged to look for a refreshment of the palaeo-graphical terminology.
