Aber die Rückständigkeit wurzelt auch in der allzu differen zierten Sprache der Gelehrten, die begrifflich eher verwirrend als erläuternd wirkt 1); infolgedessen fehlt es noch immer an einer einfachen Erklärung unseres modernen Geldwesens. Schließlich ist das Geldwesen mangels einer naturwissenschaft lichen Anschauung auf Irrwege geraten. Würde sich seine Erklä rung allein auf eine historische Grundlage stützen! so wäre es nie mals möglich, zu dem abstraktesten Begriffe des Geldes zu gelangen.
