Each issue retains its original red newspaper tax stamp printed in the margin. Condition: The original red cloth boards are in Fair condition, showing significant wear, rubbing, and aging to the joints, spine, and edges. However, the binding remains structurally secure and the internal text block is in remarkable, choice condition. The heavy newspaper sheets are exceptionally clean, crisp, and bright throughout, entirely free from the heavy damp-staining, tattering, or foxing usually suffered by archival newsprint. . Light, occasional marginal tears are present to a few leaves, though these are strictly confined to the blank edges and do not affect the text or stamps in any way. Funny and interesting set that is in a sense more memoirs of F…leury than anything. Good read. Good, reading copies. Ex-lib. with pockets in back, ID on spine, perforation and regular stamps, library stamp on text block, interior binding cracked and some pages could become un-attached, some general age toning, wear, and occasional fingerprints inside. Well-loved but excellent to read.
