Die Bauaufgaben, die an das Architektenbüro herangetragen wurden, reichten vom Siedlungshaus, über Wohn- und Geschäftshäuser, Ausstellungsbauten, Industrieanlagen und Hotels bis hin zum Verwaltungshochhaus und der Neuerrichtung der Gesamtbauten der Freien Universität Berlin. Bereits 1957 und 1967 stellte sich das Büro Sobotka-Müller mit Publikationen der Öffentlichkeit vor. Professor Müller schied vor 12 Jahren aus der Ateliergemeinschaft aus, und der langjährige Mitarbeiter Hans-Jürgen Juschkus ist seit 12 Jahren Partner von Professor Sobotka. Das jetzige Buch "Bauten und Projekte lll" zeigt das gestalterische Können der beiden Architekten, es läßt deutlich werden, was Prof. Sobotka in seinem Aufsatz über den Wandel in der Aufgabenstellung des Architekten sagt: "Das Schwergewicht der Arbeit des Architekten hat sich von der Formgebung zum funktionsgerechten Bauen verlagert. Verschiedene lndustriebauten, aber auch die Freie Universitat Berlin, waren in ihrer Konzeption richtungsweisend für Bauten gleicher Funktion. Der Schwerpunkt der jetzigen Publikation zeigt die Bauten, die in den letzten 10 Jahren von Sobotka und Juschkus gemeinsam errichtet worden sind. (Verlagstext) Franz-Heinrich Sobotka (* 24. Dezember 1907 in Wien; gestorben 12. November 1988 in Berlin (West)) war ein deutscher Architekt. Franz-Heinrich Sobotka studierte an der Akademie für angewandte Kunst in Wien. Er besuchte dort die Meisterklassen von Josef Hoffmann und Oskar Strnad und arbeitete dann im Atelier von Hugo Gorge. Ab 1927 lebte er in Berlin, wo er zunächst in den Ateliers von Bruno Paul und Erich Mendelsohn tätig war und entscheidende Einflüsse erhielt. Seit 1938 arbeitete er selbstständig; seit 1945 war er assoziiert mit Gustav Müller, einem Studienfreund aus Wien. Von 1945 bis 1951 war zunächst auch Hermann Fehling an dieser Sozietät beteiligt. Das Büro Sobotka und Müller plante und realisierte zahlreiche Projekte in Berlin sowie in Kassel, Köln und in Hannover. 1970 schied Müller aus und der langjährige Mitarbeiter und Atelierchef Hans-Jürgen Juschkus wurde Sozius.
