It details conditions of the eye and head using the medicinal knowledge of the time, explaining the causes and treatments for headaches, eye conditions, and related complaints. The author draws on well-known sources of the time, including the work of Avicenna and Galen, and offers surgical and pharmaceutical remedies, many of which remain relevant or have inspired modern medicine. Through this lens, the book offers a comprehensive look at the medical capabilities and understanding of the era from which it hails, and insight into the scientific methods of antiquity. It provides a unique perspective on how medical practitioners understood the human body and treated disease over a millennium ago. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.

Galliarum & Polonia Regis Christianissimi, Archiatrum.
