The fourth and first illustrated edition of The Heart of London, the charming travelogue on the great capital, written by popular journalist and travel writer H.V. Morgan. Published in 1926, first published in 1925. In the publisher's original green cloth, in the scarce original unclipped dust wrapper. Contains a frontispiece and all twenty-four delicate scissor cuts by Austrian artist Lisl Hummel. Collated complete. Having written popular columns on London for the Daily Express since 1921, his first travel book develops on his articles with great charm and led to further travel works in London, Italy and South Africa amongst others. Morton was most famous for being the first journalist to cover the excavation of Tutankhamun's tomb in 1923. In the publisher's original green cloth, in the original unclipped dust wrapper.
