Erstausgabe der Autobiographie der zu ihrer Zeit bekannten französischen Schauspielerin Claire Josephe Hippolyte Leris de LaTude, auch Claire Clairon (1723-1803) übersetzt von Jacques Henri Meister (1744-1826). Die `Memoires d`Hippolyte Clairon et reflexions sur la declamation theatrale` der Autorin, die auch einige Jahre in Deutschland gelebt hatte, sollen zuerst in deutscher Sprache und erst danach im französischen Original erschienen sein. Nicht bei Fromm. Erster, abgeschlossener Teil, zu welchem 1799 noch ein zweiter erschienen ist. 8°. XVIII, VIII S., S. 9-320. Fester Pappband der Zeit, mit goldgeprägtem Rückenschildchen und Buntpapierüberzug, Buchschnitt rotgesprenkelt. Seiten anfangs wasserrandig, sonst fast weiß. Einband etwas berieben und bestoßen. Ohne den am Titel genannten Porträtstich.
