Ein gutes und sauberes Exemplar. - Seit Rolf Iseli die Lehren der von ihm so geliebten Erde des Burgund akzeptiert hat, seit er selber unter die Weinbauern gegangen ist und als gleichwertiges Werkzeug zum Pinsel die Hacke gekommmen ist, wurde Bildermachen für ihn zur Verlängerung des primären Erderle…bnisses. Erde als Material, Erde als Bildidee, Geste als Arbeit mit der Erde. Es gibt von ihm Bilder, aperspektivische Erdlandschaften - einige waren im Rahmen der documenta 5 zu sehen -, die von diesem primären Erleben und seiner Bildwerdung zeugen: Erde verstrichen wie der eigene Kot, handvollweise verstrichen über die Bildfläche. Erde ist Maß, Masse und Farbe. Hände und Füße sind die Werkzeuge, die ihr adäquat sind. Mit der Hand wird sie verstrichen, mit den Füßen wird ihre Spurqualität sichtbar gemacht. Spuren sind denn auch seine Bilder, unmittelbar einsehbar, unmittelbar spürbar, die Vorstellung von Erde mehr vermittelnd als Vorstellungen von Bildern von Erde. "Tellurig", "pollurig" sind nun auch die Figuren. Die Silhouette des Künstlers wird eingeerdet, überwuchert: so entsteht der "Homme Champignon", der "Homme cactusse", der "Homme de terre", der "Homme de Jone", alles erdverbundene, zwar furchterregende, aber keineswegs aggressive Urtypen. Pilze überall, der Urfrau wachsen sie zwischen den Beinen, überall verdecken, überdecken, ja überwuchern. Kopf und Geschlecht sind dabei besonders die mit Vorliebe sowohl eingeebneten als auch ausgezeichneten Teile. Sprache: Deutsch Gewicht in Gramm: 550 Mit zahlr. Abb. Originalbroschur.
