Seconda variante, dello stesso anno…della prima edizione; senza l'epistola dedicatoria a Thuron Bielke, con il riassunto all'inizio di ogni capitolo, che nella prima manca, e con 310 pagine invece di 278 (prima) o 294 (prima variante) [GRAESSE, III, 513, citando Schweiger, II, 490]. Ex-libris al contropiatto. Isaac VOSS (Leida, 1618 - Windsor, 1689) è stato bibliotecario, saggista e collezionista di manoscritti olandese. Piccolissima mancanza al margine destro delle prime tre carte. Ottimo esemplare, fresco e marginoso, di questa bella prima edizione elzeviriana - raro. Il testo originale delle Historiae Philippicae di Trogo è sopravvissuto solo attraverso questo famoso riassunto prodotto da Marco Giuniano Giustino, e attraverso estratti di altri autori, tra cui Girolamo e Agostino, qui raccolti col titolo di Fragmenta.
