Original vintage Soviet propaganda poster - To Wake Up All Human Powers, The October Storm Is Needed! - featuring a striking design showing two Navy sailors in uniform and holding bayonet rifle guns over their shoulders with their caps marked Aurora (the ship Aurora / ÐÐ ÑoÑа signalled the start of the Great October Revolution on 25 October 1917 using the "old" calendar, which is 7 November using the "new" calendar) firing a cannon gun towards the historic city of Petrograd / St Petersburg over one of the rostral columns (completed 1811) on Vasilyevsky Island with a light shining over the Peter and Paul Fortress (founded in 1703 by Peter the Great) in the distance against the red background, the white text over the smoke above. Horizontal. Good condition, creasing, folds, small tears. Size: 95x59cm.
