Ivor Abrahams, espone per la prima volta alla Galleria One di Londra, nel 1962, con una personale in cui si evidenziano le sue tematiche artistiche, che si collocano sulla scia degli artisti pop inglesi, con i quali continuerà ad esporre per tutti gli anni Sessanta. Negli anni Settanta inizierà la sua serie di opere che hanno per oggetto i giardini inglesi (Garden). Scriverà a proposito delle sue prime esperienze artistiche lo stesso Abrahams nel 1983: "Dal 1978 in poi, mi sono allontanato del soggetto dei giardini. Da allora il mio interesse si è sclusivamente concentrato sulla figura umana. Negli anni '70 con le immagini tipiche dei girdini inglesi realizzavo la proiezione di un ideale comune, l'immagine di un desiderio. Questo aspetto riemerge nelle mie sculture più recenti. Spazi senza limite, scenari paradisiaci, figure nel paesaggio." Abrahams ha esposto in numerose prestigiose gallerie, fra cui: Richard Feigen, New York, 1970; Mappin Art Gallery, Sheffield, 1972; Kolnischer Kunstverein, Colonia, 1973; Galerien T, Amsterdam, 1974; Galerie Bonnier, Ginevra, 1975; Major Gallery, Londra, 1976; Hobson Gallery, Cambridge, 1979; betty Cunnigham Gallery, New York, 1981 e moltissime altre.
